Out for a walk today along a small lake. For some reason I was attracted to the algae on the surface along with the light reflections. Got the picture home, started playing with the contrast etc when the image took on a life of its own. Look at it, how many faces and skulls can you see? Just a trick of the light I know, but it made me stop. Is it me or does it look like Adolf Hitler’s head just to the right of my watermark? Tell me what you see 🙂
Trick of The Light
I love how it is possible to create impressionistic art with photography. The light reminds me so much of the discharge of weapons as they fire into the night.
In the beginning there was a lot of shock and outrage at the information gathering that takes place by the NSA and GCHQ etc. Most people had no idea of the capability of intelligence agencies to gather information about everybody who might be a suspect now or considered one in the future, and that includes you. But there is an interesting psychological effect of the drip feed effect of the Snowden files being released.
People become habituated, they get used to hearing and seeing things, they see a news story of something related to what the intelligence agencies are up to. After a while, after enough stories have come out, people in general lose interest, it becomes a big yawn.
This suits the intelligence agencies perfectly, people are being psychologically conditioned to accept the fact that they are being watched and there is nothing they can do about it even if they are doing nothing wrong. The world is being conditioned and it doesn’t even know it. But on a side note I also have to say that those who think they are in control are also being used.
The reason why I created this post is to show how easy it is to get people to look at something using a very different subject.
So my knee is screwed up and possibly needs a bit of broken bone removed, as a result I can’t walk too much at the moment until the operation is done. Feeling restless, I looked out my kitchen window and saw this beautiful cloud formation.
There is so much you can do photographically with the Scottish landscape
Consciousness, colour and light.
The sky was very dramatic and the clouds really caught my eye.
Reminds me of military barracks in the dessert. Tents at attention.
More toothpaste and washing-up liquid 🙂
